whos the easiest of them all?

When it comes to the film Easy A there were many parts that had great importance but the one that summits them all is the part where she tells her favorite teacher that his wife had cheated on him with a student and contracted an STD. This part really stands out because this is the point where she realizes that she doesn’t want to be known as the girl who got around with people. After she goes to the guidance counselor, her favorite teacher’s wife, for help and she states that if she tells the truth she will deny it. This is when she then goes to the office of her councilor’s husband. Through the entire movie there is a constant build up on how the rumors affect her in all aspects of her life. From the very beginning the main character Olive believes that if she has a reputation and people are talking about her that it will make her a better person. She quickly realizes that this is false when she admits to the teacher of his wife’s infidelity. Deep down she knows that this confession will hurt other people more than her bad reputation hurts her, but she still tells him. This is a pivotal moment because she then realizes that how she’s been acting isn’t the true reflection of who she is. Though she does state that telling her teacher was her biggest regret she does have to live with her mistakes and tries to get her life back in control.

rom com

i personally love romantic comedies and i think it was cool that she had the opritunity to pitch some ideas. i do think it is weird though that she had to try to think of rom coms on the spot when they said that they wanted one about board games. i cant even think of a movie that has a board game in it non the less on eabout one. it was awesome that she talks about how much she loves her job but describes how it is every tv person dreams of working in film. it just goes to show that everyone can dream of better things, even if it id something like a rom com tht people sometimes lok down on.

break it down

i found the film analysis clip to be pretty interesting. when i watch movies i dont really break them down or even think about the art of the film in that much detail. normally i judge on story line costume and music but never get that deep into thought. i thought the coolest part of the film was when they slowed down and broke apart the whole fingernail bit in the clinic parking lot and teh lobby. as it was happenign i didnt imidiatly put it together but all of a sudden it really clicked on how that all work. i think subconsiously you get it but it never relaly was said out loud. it really just goes to show how important screen shots, background sets, and even the lingo of the movie really are. i also like how they broke down the culture aspect of the movies and how it showed that juna was being judged on her baby out of wedlock. it was neat how they related a more modern film to much older films as well. i never knew that the screen writer for juno was an ex stripper and sex blogger, so i thought that was a fun fact too. overall i think that the way i watch films will change after that, andi will see them in  awhile new light.
