whos the easiest of them all?

When it comes to the film Easy A there were many parts that had great importance but the one that summits them all is the part where she tells her favorite teacher that his wife had cheated on him with a student and contracted an STD. This part really stands out because this is the point where she realizes that she doesn’t want to be known as the girl who got around with people. After she goes to the guidance counselor, her favorite teacher’s wife, for help and she states that if she tells the truth she will deny it. This is when she then goes to the office of her councilor’s husband. Through the entire movie there is a constant build up on how the rumors affect her in all aspects of her life. From the very beginning the main character Olive believes that if she has a reputation and people are talking about her that it will make her a better person. She quickly realizes that this is false when she admits to the teacher of his wife’s infidelity. Deep down she knows that this confession will hurt other people more than her bad reputation hurts her, but she still tells him. This is a pivotal moment because she then realizes that how she’s been acting isn’t the true reflection of who she is. Though she does state that telling her teacher was her biggest regret she does have to live with her mistakes and tries to get her life back in control.
